you’ve got me

cropped-dsc00181.jpg

You’ve got me.
I’m not quite sure how,
sometimes
in the tangle of my mind
when faith feels flimsy,
when I neglect
to even look your way…
You’ve got me.

You’ve got me.
When I’m scratched and bruised
often
confused by the terrain
I’m called to walk
and not understanding
your reasons…
You’ve got me.

You’ve got me.
When I’m screaming or singing
or both
weeping or laughing,
higgledy piggledy me –
not sure if I’m up
or down but still…
You’ve got me.
