draw me a picture

Magnet issue 101 hit my doormat yesterday. As with all issue editors, whether lead or not, I felt familiar with all of it and  yet, there’s nothing like holding it in your hands.

This issue included something I hadn’t anticipated – my own illustrations of one of the articles! We couldn’t quite find what we wanted for it, so I asked the lead editor what she visualised, and came up with my own. I had a very pleasant afternoon scribbling with my watercolour pencils. It was energising and a welcome change from the norm, and perhaps I’ll do more of it…I felt pleased with the outcome, especially as my drawing skills are very unpractised.

Have you tried anything different lately which has refreshed you?
