flame of divine love

fire flamesON THIS PENTECOST SUNDAY I pray – that my mind would be attuned to the Spirit, my heart and soul filled with the Spirit, that my feet walk in step with Spirit. May I never belittle the Spirit, by thinking transformation impossible or unnecessary, when the Holy Spirit is the greatest gift our Father has given us to aid us on our journeys – an extraordinary helper, supremely wise counsellor, and the true breath of God, with whom nothing is impossible.

Come, my Light, and illumine my darkness
Come, my Life, and revive me from death
Come, my Physician, and heal my wounds.
Come, Flame of divine love, and burn up the
thorns of my sins, kindling my heart
with the flame of thy love.
Come, my King, sit upon the throne of my heart
and reign there.
For thou alone art my King and my Lord.

  1. I don’t often comment, but I certainly enjoy your posts. They are thought-provoking and often express the things I am feeling in my spiritual life. Thank you.
