no holding back? #writing #art

The artist cannot hold back; it is impossible, because writing, or any other discipline of art, involves participation in suffering, in the ills and occasional stabbing joys that come from being part of the human drama.

  1. No holds barred?Well – I just love the look of the journal/notebook. Where can I buy one like that? Oh the quote is great too, by the way. But balance and restraint may be called for too at times. It depends what one wants to get across and who the audience might be and how they perceive the topic under discussion. Better stop now before I find myself objecting instead of supporting the aforementioned. Basically, feel free to express yourself – OK? I love everything you write!

    1. Everything is a mixture of right and of wrong, depending on the context – and disagreement is allowed, don’t worry about expressing YOURSELF, either!
