Attempted to bake a cake today. Went somewhat wrong because I used a different baking tin than normal, and realised to my horror it was leaking. Ug. Had to open the oven door (groan) and put a baking tray underneath. Considering, it could have been worse. Still not great though, so I used a circle cutter to cut up the sponge and create mini Victoria Sponges. I’m no whizz in the kitchen, but I’m certainly adaptable! We used the remainder sponge as a pudding with jam and custard.
