Forgetful Heart: on signing the contract

2013-08-07 14.35.17I’m delighted to be able to say that my book ‘Forgetful Heart: remembering God in a distracted world’ will be published next year by Darton, Longman and Todd (@dlt_books).

I’m pleased not just at signing a contract, but signing a contract with a publisher resonating so much with me, my topic and my style. The staff at DLT have been enthusiastic from the first, and really worked hard in order to get to this point. I’ve felt from the beginning that they’ve understood the soul of the book, where I’m coming from and why it’s important. I’m not a ‘big name’, and the fact they’ve signed me up and want this book on their list on its own merits means a great deal to me.

So, as I complete my manuscript and the serious editing begins, the dream that was only a dream is about to become reality. Thanks to all of you who have cheered me on – please don’t stop now…

Oh, and we’re also moving house later in the year – my husband has accepted a position at a new church. Sorry, did I not mention that?! This is certainly a year of change for us.
