NoNoNoNo!! – novel writing madness

“The Middle is the hardest bit to push through. The momentum of The Beginning has sputtered and died, and the force towards The End has yet to kick in.”

I wrote those words myself, back in 2010, when attempting NaNoWriMo for the first time. The middle is always tricky.

And guess what I’ve done this year. I’m writing the sequel to my 2011 attempt; except it’s not just  a sequel. It’s the second part in a trilogy.

That’s right.

My whole 2012 novel is made of middle. 

Plus, I never had time to make an outline, and I still don’t know how it ends, which really doesn’t help me write – it’s like driving without knowing where you’re going.

And I’m over 8000 words behind.

Ack!

NaNoWriMo? NoNoNoNo, more like…
